Early backer here and first batch reciever of the Pimax 8K just wanted to take a moment to share briefly my feelings about Pimax and the Original 8K I received almost a year ago now.
First I’m very happy Pimax is doing what they are doing with continuing to advance the design of the HMD’s also as an 8KX backer feel very fortunate to have made that choice as well.
VR is a new and favorite hobby of mine that I enjoy experiencing a great amount of time. After having the CV1 Rift and OG vive and the revised OG Vive I’ve been able to experience and enjoy the progress of this emerging new thing.
I personally have had great experiences with all my HMD’s. Being a long time gamer VR is definitely the next level and once the gamer masses are able to experience it.
Mostly just want to say that the Pimax 8k has been awesome. I primarily use the Large field of view mode almost always when playing my two favorite VR games SkyrimVR and Fallout4VR.
For some reason I have not experienced to many of the downsize others have, maybe having a very normal size IPD and face shape has allowed this as well as a dedicated and optimized computer with my past experience of PC gaming.
Another thing I wanted to share with the community of Pimax users who may have tried Fallout 4 VR or may in the future a selection of mods I’m currently using for the game. These have really helped amp up the immersion factor. A couple really help with visibility of the game and controlling things like brightness color saturation, and tone. Many are for ease of use as well.
Thank you again Pimax. I’ve been a supporter from the early days since first hearing about it through Kickstarter and happy to say so.
