Oculus Dash 2.0 ...impressed but it would look amazing on Pi

So I’ve been playing about with the Rift Dash application the last couple of nights and I have to say I’m really impressed with it. But it’s seriously hampered by the low resolution of the rift headset.

Coupled with a more usable virtual keyboard or physical/virtual mapping of a keyboard, this would be something that I could use as a monitor replacement.

I just kept thinking how awesome this would look on the 8k … heck it would even look amazing on my 4K headset

I hope someone can figure out a way to open it up to us pimax folks!

ReVIVE should work right?

Don’t worry, anything is hack-able.

I don’t think ReVIVE works with it, and even if it did, it’s built around the oculus touch controllers, so it might not even be possible – even when we get the 8k and touch controls… but like you say … anything is hack-able

here’s hoping…

It’s good stuff and has negated OVRDrop & Envelop on my side.

The perf. hit was also quite minimal while in a game compared to what was expected after slapping all kinds of windows & videos playing everywhere for the sake of just doing it because it was possible, LOL.

Wow. That does look quite nice.

Revive maps the oculus touch controllers really nice to the vive controllers. Works great with a lot of games.

You could put a web cam looking at your physical keyboard, then then in Dash put a window showing that webcam down around where your keyboard would be. Then you would be able to look down and see your fingers on the keyboard, making it useable!

I think this would be better though
