It’s actually quite sad that we’re waiting now 2 years already for cards that are only marginally faster than the current top of the range.

True. The biggest improvement is the lowered power usage, which is more important for coin-miners than gamers. I’ve currently got a 980Ti and was planning on buying the next NVidia high end card. I may need to wait for the 1180Ti for my 8K (since I’d like to run with highest quality settings in game).

You might have to wait for the 1280ti, or higher.

I sure hope not. I’ll still probably get an 1180 or 1180Ti, since my 980Ti is clearly underpowered for a Pimax 8K.

Keep waiting and your Pimax 8k will be obsolete because i am sure by then there are better HMDs that will come out.
