I just received my backer upgrade Plan C to an 8K+ and the headset looks identical to the 8KX with metal chevron and metal buttons. Unfortunately they have only included a cloth strap and no MAS for which I have made a ticket.

How can this happen? I thought Pimax was doing extra QA. @PimaxQuorra
Have you verified that it’s actually an 8K+ and not an 8KX or some other model?

Seems possible its an 8kx?
Seen a customer in discord who bought the artisan LE with better housing received a 5k+ with RE housing instead, but that had faults and now received an artisan with black housing.
So yea, checking things seems to be a big weakness still.

Yes, I have it working now and PiTool shows it as an 8K+, also there is a USB socket on top.

that’s right. the current 8k + has the same housing.
Only the pcb and the cable is different.
Thats why i cry for a X PCB for my +
