Need little help with Pimax 8K X Face Pads Eye Foam Pad Cover

Pimax 8KX is not feeling comfortable now with the stock Face Pads Eye Foam Pad Cover so I want to replace it with something more comfortable which I am expecting to get my eye a little away from lenses as well so here I found the one on the website below

Anyway, I ordered it yesterday but just received their email today that Logistics to India suspended so my only option to get it now is using a forwarder company like myus.com or maybe someone else, Have no experience of any forwarder company before but I assume that this product package weight could be 0.16 pound so on the basis of that myus.com small pack saver for the USA to India cost USD 12.99 which don’t include door to door tracking and also take 7-20 days but there is another option which I am thinking to go with is DHL Express which cost around USD 34.92 includes door to door tracking and will take only 1-4 days. So in total, this product will cost me $65…Do you think it’s worth it or is there any better alternative available which is 18 to 19 mm thick? Also, if someone already bought this product then please share the experience and if possible then please also let me know the total weight and Package Dimensions so could check the rates of other forwarding companies too. Looks like the VRMust one to me (I own the VRMust one and it’s very comfortable to me).

I’m not sure it’s the exact same thickness but I know others are using that version too.

Thanks for your response mate, Unfortunately, Aliexpress is recently banned in India otherwise it was my favorite online store for this type of thing. I am really interested in that VR must, As you already own it so could you please confirm does it really has that 18.9 mm thickness? and do you remember what was the package weight and dimension when you ordered it? because I needed this to calculate the exact shipping rate with all the available shipping forwarders from the USA to India.

Hey I also have the VRMust item and I bought it around the same time as @DrWilken.

Just measured and yes it genuinely is about 18.9mm on the sides, 20mm+ at the top where your forehead rests.

I looked for any info about the package weight and dimension from the original shipping emails but I couldn’t find anything, sorry.

I am very happy with it, neither Pimax foams were thick enough but this works for me :+1:t4: I prefer leather to foam too.

I have ordered exactly the same from Alibaba yesterday for USD 5 but have to pay USD 10.45 for the shipping charges of Aramex to India and I think it’s fair enough to pay this amount. Now I can only hope this supplier ships what he described however he is a new supplier but I took my chances. Btw, he shipped the product on the same day and provided a tracking number. Thanks for the details but earlier VRmust support just provided me all these details and they said the packaging size is 270 x 165 x 50 mm, and the weight is about 0.4kg, The thickness on both sides is 18.9mm, and the thickness of the middle part is 21.4mm. I really like these type of thickness because it feels really comfortable. I also found exactly the same product like VRmust on Aliexpress and I think it’s the same product that VRmust is shipping because they told me that the product is shipping from China

No problem glad they got the details back to you. Yes VRMust ships from China even though they are based in California.

I don’t know if it really makes any difference to fitment but I’m Indian (in the UK) and I also much prefer the extra thick foam.
