today i received my 8k + 
I will give you a quick review of my feelings, I have not yet received my index controllers or my lighthouses, so I cannot judge the experience as a whole.
Regarding the choice of headset, I wanted to finally have my HMD and stop the stressful wait which started to worsen ^^, so I went to 8k +. my pc starts to be old and I wait especially for the wireless
Packaging: much better, wow effect at the opening, magnetic boxes, everything is well studied, and it feels.
the helmet: the blue is very dark, almost black, which pleases me, I was afraid of the blue seen on the photos of the first unboxings. it exudes quality.
Visuals: thinner than my old 5k +, almost no SDE, but at the bottom of the scenes the aliasing is present, I find the distortions more marked, but it is software and therefore resolvable.
The movies actually seem much better than in 5k +.
I put pitool in 1.5 and I left steam VR in automatic, I am not an expert of the adjustment and I think I can get a better rendering.
The difference with 5k + is not obvious, maybe you have to wait for an update from the upscaler and pitool.
Here is my modest review, sorry for my english, iâm french and speak to you via google trad
edit: I just tested a game and it was super fine, I saw very far and I no longer had any distortion.
I have the impression that certain texts and textures are not intended for such a large resolution which can mislead.
I will come back in a few days to give my final opinion because I am not very good at software confirguration.
I think the helmet is better than what I see at the moment =)
