same same since friday
pimax really need to use some1 els its a tax of some sort i got hit buy it as well or pimax should have FREE SHIPPING as it cost alot for there headset
That ‘International shipment release’ looks promising for you!
Mine’s scheduled for 6pm on Wednesday!!! Lets see.
not really, had this status already the very 1st time after pickup:
Wrote a mail to local FedEx department now if they could lookup with FedEx Asia…
Ah, that’s a shame. When I spoke to local FedEx last week (about being charged Import Duty - but that’s another story) the lady was going on about severe plane shortages in China. I didn’t think too much about it at the time as I still had over a week until my scheduled delivery date which is this Wednesday before 6pm. Doesn’t look like they are going to hit that now though unless it gets onto a plane within the next day.
FedEx lost my 8k X…
I had a tracking number… and an expected delivery date…
Then it went to “pending”… Took me almost 4 weeks to get a result out of Pimax…
That being FedEx have stated they never received the package…
Same here, only no response
Update! Now its in Japan
Wouldn’t be my route of choice from CN to EU but well, at least it seems out of Shanghai’s redirect devil circle for now
I thought your ‘international shipment release’ meant something - mine’s still doing the Shanghai Shuffle!!
Yeah, most probably thats one step further to airfreight but as mentioned i’ve already had this status 12days ago without leaving Shanghai, so it’s no 100% guarantee…
Let’s see how Japanese Fedex handles this further now
Hi Rothman, how’s your’s doing. Mine’s following yours it seems - it’s just landed in Japan (and the FedEx tracking entries were identical to your’s which is interesting).
Hi ICDP, how’s your’s doing. Mine’s just landed in Japan and is scheduled for delivery in the UK ‘by’ 2 hours before yours?
Same here, now in Japan, I expect it will be a few more days making it’s way from hub to hub. Though at least it is moving and the Fedex tracking page Shangai reboot loop is over.
This is another thing Pimax could have fixed with some simple improvements in communications. How hard for a Pimax rep to reach out to Fedex and ask why our packages are stuck in Shanghai? If the reason is valid then fair enough, if not tell Fedex to get the finger out or you will use a competitor (if viable). Communicate this to Pimax customers via an email update. The way I see it is either one or more of the following.
- $60 for delivery seems very steep for the slow plane from China but maybe this is a true reflection of postal costs from there?
- Pimax are taking that $60 and paying for the cheap snail mail delivery = profit.
- Fedex are pure crap and Pimax have no other options.
- Pimax are inept and are ignoring this issue without having the wit to realise that this kind of crap loses customers.
- There is a legitimate reason for this such as reducing the risk of spreading Covid-19.
If it is option 1, 3 or 5 then a simple statement/email from Pimax would help customers understand and at least give Pimax some respect for being up-front. Though my experience tells me it’s option 4.
From SENNAN-SHI, Japan it now went straight to GRACE-HOLLOGNE, Belgium
Guess I will get it this week then which makes 2 to 2,5 weeks delivery which is still “okay” (but not great) for asia shipments.
Thanks for getting back - I’m with you on a lot of your points but after my Artisan got stuck next to a runway in Shanghai for 2 and half months after Aliexpres indicated that China’s ‘Express’ postage would take two weeks I’m sort of not too annoyed by it taking a couple of weeks in total!!
Thanks rothman for getting back - hoping mine’s now in the air somewhere over the middle east!!
60 dollars is about what you pay to ship a container that size via courier to southeast asia from Europe. My postage costs from Japan to EU have gone up in price since Covid-19 as they no longer offer SAL service.
No they are not over charging.
