Wonder if it has the Titanfall issue of no compressed audio. For that kind of install size it would need decades of game play
May contain spoilers. When he attacks several enemies (who have machine guns) using just a sauce pan, suggests I might start by cranking up the difficulty to hardest
Just 4 hours left until it unlocks on Steam. So exciting!
That was odd, the steam page had been showing midnight Friday all week - then just updated to tonight
The steam page has the release trailer playing which ends with "Available now’ so seems to be happening.
With only hours to go still no price yet, again a little odd.
Hmmmm the oddness continues.
AAA Half-Life Alex was £45 on UK Steam. Medal of honor Above and Beyond is £45 on UK Oculus but £55 on UK steam (20% extra)
I am downloading it now but it’s going to take 8 hours with my crappy download speed.
I got lucky with 1 hour 45 mins. There was someone on the forums who claimed it would take them 2 days
Early steam reviews aren’t looking very positive. I wonder how this game will run on my 8kx .
I have been reading the steam reviews and it looks like it doesn’t have smooth locomotion, if this is true I will probably refund it .
There’s no harm in trying it before refunding. You get 2 hours of playtime or something like that.
Yep that’s the plan. Is sounds like they can fix it with updates. A lot of negative reviews say there is a great game hidden in there.
There’s definitely smooth loco, it’s even the only one AFAIK. However there’s a lot of cuts in the missions : little bit of playable sequence, fade to black then get tped somewhere else on the map for a cutscene type of scene, rinse and repeat. Hurts the immersion a lot.
Don’t get me started on the godawful settings menu : just a slider low/médium/high/dynamic. High looks good but I get between 50 and 65 fps with a 3090.+, pitool 1 and steam ss 100. Medium is a blurry mess…
Just tried medal of honour multiplayer,Now you see how realy good contractors is! The movement off the players is very very ugly… the only thing that looked good were the maps in the multiplayer… The graphics do look nice in the hp reverb g2 tho
And the game need optimization and more graphic options…But after some patches it could be fun i think…
I was going to say the same
IMHO it was never going to live up to Half-Life Alyx and my initial impressions is it doesn’t. They do have some elements that reminded me of it, you can write on the chalk board, put on battle helmets that then sit in your upper eye line eye etc.
I like that single player has kept the original atmosphere of Medal of honour Allied Assault but in VR. However they kept the same old structure of cut scenes and I think things have moved on to open world since then. Hopefully they will patch in smooth turning asap.
As john2910 said the graphics do look very nice (I left PP off and so far ‘seems’ ok).
Does MoH require PP on?
Also I haven’t had a chance to play yet, but this may let us change settings to get reasonable framerate:
same question as the other guy, did it require parallel projection mode?
I played it on the hp reverb g2 sorry… so i dont know
No, you don´t need PP
guys it’s even better than no PP, it’s also supporting FFR and it seems to make a difference. anyone with eye tracking try the DFR on this? is it worth me finally installing mine? haha
