hey guys, i found that the audio volume on the DAS is a lot lower than i had with the vive. I tried increasing it in windows mixer to max, still low.
With the vive, i usually leave at 60% to have a very loud sound.
any suggestions?

Not sure seems loud to me… But don’t have a vive to compare with. Have you checked for boost options for headphones?
I normally use around 20% max too?
There’s a gain option for the Vive in the Audio tab of SteamVR settings but I’m unsure if it had any impact.
You mean in the windows mixer settings? Cause i did some changes there to see if anything would solve, but none did yet
Hmm… Maybe also check steam settings.
I checked the option Loudness Equalization in windows settings, it did increased a little bit. But not as loud as i had with Vive.
I remember that Vive had two volumes to adjust, one was in the HDMI volume and the other one the USB. With pimax there is only the USB option.
how loud are other headphones if you connect them to the pimax?
Hmmm never tried another one, except the DAS
Well, if you want to find out what’s going on, I suggest you do that.
Yeah good idea to try other headphones. The Apo equalizer (Microphone fix) might work to increase volume.
It could simply be though vive has a louder amp. Have you tried the volume up on the headset?
Yeah, i’ll try that as soon as i get home.
I’m not familiar with this Apo fix.
The volume on both windows and headset are on 100%
Apo Equalizer is an opensource program that can be used to add a mixer/boost to all audio devices
Here is link. Install Apo Equalizer then Peace.

Hi @diegomcx, I think you can try to submit the ticket to helpdesk and the technicians will help you. Thank you.
Hi Matthew,
If you can talk to the team to see if they can add a boost slider for Microphone & maybe headphone audio, Thanks.
Hi Dan,
I have feedback about the volume enhancement function to products and R&D. They will be added to the development plan after the review. Thank you.
@diegomcx Thank you for your advice and feedback.
@diegomcx Our development engineer told me that you could try this method to increase the volume.
**Select ‘Loudness Equalization’ option under ‘Enhancement’ **
Thank you.
Nice, i’ll try this one!!!
Hey Matthew! Thanks for the reply.
I did this method earlier, increasing Loudness Equalization and it did a little boost, but not as loud as the Vive was.
I remember setting the Vive volume slider inside steamvr at ~50%-60%, and with the Pimax I set it at 100% and it is not as loud as the Vive.
Does the volume slider have ANY effect from 0% to 100%?
OK, I see. I have forward it to the developers.
They will evaluate the function of volume enhancement. I’ll let you know when I receive feedback. Thank you
