Light color. Does spaces count and why do we have to have 15

I started using my 8K+ again. Someone, please remind me what the colors mean next to the volume like green, purple I remember bright red is off but dim red. I look at PI Tools to let me know everything is good.

Green is on. Purple is PP is on.
