Well it’s only like “a bunch” of dissapointed backers vs x thousands of paying customers.so I guess not a big deal for pimax. But wait for the upgrade discounts, it could make it all up.

FOV is different and not the same product.
The Vive Eye Tracking is not designed for 170 FOV.

I’m afraid the 8K+ will have the same latency as 8K because of the upscaler. Hopefully 8KX will not have the latency of 8K.

Agreed but it really depends on how well it runs! My only worry about the 8KX is that you think it’s future proof but it’s really not as panels will be right around the bend that have that res with 120hz refresh rate, etc. If they could just get it up to 90hz (wouldn’t be display port 1.4 though), and any gpu in the next five years could push 8K res at 90fps it would be a no brainer but I doubt we are anywhere close to that!
I’d like to see how good the 8k+ looks considering they updated the scaler, better panel utilization and RGB stripe!

I never noticed any latency in my 8k, so I’m good. I don’t play games where you whip your head side to side quickly 
As long as I can play games like Beat Saber and Space Pirate Trainer without noticing any latency, I’m good (and I can, I play those two games the most).

we´ll see that GPU eater in action but I believe that with not too heavy games, it will be fine.

Thanks Mr. Obvious, but selling used products have a ton of issues, and even more on Pimax which tends to give problems to non pro users with Pitools / drivers / etc. I can imagine a buyer saying “I see double this is sh1t!” "But you didn’t activate parallel project… oh sh*t the buyer just opened a ticcket and ebay cancelled the sale and wants his money back.

That’s the off the shelf. They had to (and they charged) to develop special wide FOV versions.
