Just been using my original Crystal this morning, Aircar and then Project Cars 2 with Xbox Elite 2 controller and steamVR faceplate with two base stations. RTX 4080 and 8-pack 8086 @ 5.2 GHz.
Rendering around 4K per eye (150% and 72hz) into the 2880x2880 panels gives an astonishing image quality dark blacks, vivid bright colours, very sharp clarity
The session continued until my battery finally ran out… didn’t want to stop driving. Sometimes you just have an awesome VR session and for someone dabbling with the technology since early 90’s the Crystal paired with powerful PC is just astonishing…

I use the Crystal as my daily driver.
To prevent the battery from draining, I plug the cable for the charger from the hub directly into the side of the Crystal and leave it plugged in. This way I can play for hours on end without worrying about the battery state.
Slight modification today after finding the inner foam piece covering the hinge and speaker wires was often coming loose.
Removed the loose velcro dots, wiped clean with isopropyl alcohol left to dry and added some more substantial velcro pieces with stronger adhesive. No longer loose as firmly held in place.
Great session yesterday spent a number of hours exploring ‘The peninsula’ of "Into the Radius 2"with index controllers, after some Pistol Whip with a single Vive Pro controller.
