Iracing graphics feedback

So whenever any of you check out your replays (or right after a race), go to the bar that lets you scroll through it, click the Render dropdown list, and select “Vivid.” I wish I could race with this setting. It looks bright and vibrant! Hopefully Pimax comes through with some color profiles or something, because if the game can change the look that much, it must be possible to have the screens do that all the time. I just tried this in the “late afternoon” setting where the sun was “setting” with clouds around, but still up, so I’m not sure how it’ll look in “Afternoon.”

Edit: “Vivid” looks really washed out in “Afternoon,” so nevermind. Check it out, even if you’re just practicing, with a Late Afternoon setting.

got an answer from david tucker from iRacing, asked him about angled display support to get rid of parallel projection:

Thanks, I passed your note on to the graphics team. For now we only implement the Oculus and SteamVR api’s, so we are restricted to whatever limited support pimax has for those. I don’t know what plans we have for any future support of native api’s for new headsets.

Playing around with settings bewteen Pimax, Steam VR and dx11.
It seems Steam loads up the cpu whenever you move away from 100%. So i’m leaving this on 100% and find my gains elsewhere.
Setting Pimax to .75 render and setting ResolutionScalePct=130 gives a slightly sharper image with less load on gpu than 1 Render and 100 ResolutionScalePct
