iRacing Freezes mid-race in the 8K X

Hey guys!

I have had some recent issues with the iracing window freezing while I’m in VR. The picture just freezes and I can’t get it back… it just shuts down and I have to rejoin.

This has happened a few times since the last nvidia update… I’m thinking about rolling it back, but I downloaded it for Star Wars Squadrons, so hopefully I won’t have an issue there.

I sent the logs to iRacing and they said that the crash logs show that it just “hung” and that’s usually GPU related. I have a Gigabyte Aorus Xtreme 2080Ti.

I just read somewhere that shutting off Superfetch/prefetch helped them.

Is anyone else having similar issues like this?

I’m running a 9900KS@5.0, 32gb@4000, 2080Ti OC, and on an m.2, using the Pimax 8K X

I’d say if it’s happened since the last NVidia update then that’s likely the cause!

driver 356.55 is terrible for SWS, I rolled back to 356.38

I recommend you to do the same
