IPD seems do not respond. Internal continue rotating engine ?!?

Hello,
only when I try to change IPD from piplay 1.2.57, I can hear an continue noise such as an internal continue rotating engine.
This noise is present also when nothing is displayed (when I leave my face from Pimax 4K)
Also, most important , no effect is applied to the lens. So , an 50 IPD is EQUAL TO an 75 IPD .

How can I resolve this IMPORTANT issue?
tank you

Firmware is 1.0.0.251

Hi clasrd

would you mind please unplugging the HDMI and USB cable… wait a few moments and then plug them back in. best to use a USB 3.0 port (has a blue colour rather than black on your PC’s back plate) also like to mention that HDMI needs to be plugged into a discrete graphics card - not an internal one on the motherboard, please ask if you are not sure on this.

can you also let me know if there were any errors when you installed the piplay software? is piplay running under an admin account? and is this definatly a PC not a laptop  silly question but have to ask … you understand.

audio on the pimax headset will be coming via the USB i believe but the fact that the IPD is not changing suggests a software issue, so be good to rule out the HDMI connection and USB

can you also give specs on your machine… graphics card, processor, memory and what other devices do you have plugged in.

Thanks

Eno.

Previously i’ve heard somewhere an advise to use 2.0 instead of 3.0
So is there really any difference? (if works with no issues so far)

I could be mistaken but the audio should come through the hdmi.

The Usb powers the headset & is used to comunicate with sensors & other firmware related communication.

The PiMax usb is a usb 2.0 connector. I am not sure if PiMax has issues like Rift does with some usb 3.0 chipsets. Have to readup on it but 3.0 might have more amperage from 5v rail.

apologies if i have this wrong but Pimax Support told me to use USB 3.0 when they were diagnosing some issues i had recently. they did not clarify if it can be used on a 2.0 or 3.0 but they did say that as i was usung 2.0 that i chould be using 3.0 … not had a problem since

Hi to all. I have resolved my problem.
Unistalled PiPlay 1.2.57 and returned to PiPlay 1.1.92
IPD is fully functionally now.

Tank you to all.
