Into the Radius on Pimax Crystal

I’m a huge fan of “Into the Radius” and playing it completely through on my pimax crystal over 100 hours has been a pinnacle of VR gaming, no doubt.

It’s been one of the few VR games I have found really compelling, making me find time whenever possible and really looking forward to moving my game forward.

This morning I finally completed the castle level and gained the g####, overall hugely satisfying

Crystal was a stellar performer with the dynamic foveated rendering letting me run it at 90% resolution and 90hz on my RTX 4080 desktop; the game world looked absolutely stunning and terrifying at times

Using the Crystal with Dmas speakers and lighthouse faceplate with index controllers and three valve base stations, the tracking and audio were top notch matching the visuals in a very complimentary way.

Now that my playthrough is complete, I’m looking forward to trying the earlier 1.0 version, before restarting ITR2 which I played for 30 hours in early access before the recent updates.

Okay I’m several hours playing the earlier 1.0 version (before the 2.0 version was redesigned for Quest)

it’s seriously impressive with a huge single map, better graphics and some very nice touches to the enemies, bullet noise flying past in battles and overall a different vibe

Vanno (home base) is much larger, though the UI and weapons feel less developed/polished than the first.

Just collected the second black box from helicopter crash and took down two mimics who look like dark figures with more form. The coolest thing is collecting artifacts from fallen enemies which is very different to the second version
