I raised a ticket regarding the fact that my base station and controller bundle was not included with my 8KX, and they undertook to send it “before early October”.
I have to say that Pimax delivered on this undertaking, as the bundle was sent on 28 September, although I did not receive any notification or tracking number from Pimax.
Fortunately I had taken the advice of people on this forum and had created an account with Fedex and downloaded the Fedex app to my phone. From this I got an alert that a parcel was on its way, and when I looked at the tracking details on the Fedex site I saw that the reference number was my 8KX bundle order number. So it was obviously from Pimax.
As I noted in an earlier post, the bundle was sent from Shenzhen rather than Shanghai, which probably explains why it was not sent with the 8KX. These places are a long way apart.
Using the Fedex website, I then followed the package on a merry dance around the world over the next two weeks:
Shenzhen > Hong Kong.
Hong Kong > Osaka (what?)
Osaka > Guangzhou (WTF? That’s just down the road from where it started)
Guangzhou > Singapore
Singapore > Singapore > Singapore > Singapore > Singapore > Singapore for three days
Singapore > Sydney, today.
I’m in Melbourne. Based on how they went with the 8KX, I’m hoping to get it in the next couple of days. Doubtless all this makes sense to Fedex’s logistics system.
