HTC Vive Wands with LHs 2.0?

Question - doas OG HTC Vive wand controllers are working with LH 2.0 ?
on the steam page they say no buy meybe there is a workaround or they are wrong ?

Base Station compatibility?

  • 1.0 (HTC-branded) and 2.0 (Valve-branded) Base Stations will not work with each other in the same VR setup.
  • Index will work with both 1.0 and 2.0 Base Stations.
  • 2.0 Base Stations will not work with the original Vive headset or Wand controllers, but will work with the Vive Pro product family.

BTW Vive Pro product family include the same HTC Wand like in OG Vive so that answer is confusing !? :thinking:

They don’t & you can’t mix bs1.0 & 2.0.

Bs1.0 work with1.0 sensors & 2.0 sensors.
But bs2.0 only work with 2.0 sensors.

Og vive wands have 1.0 sensors so will only work with bs1.0.

Vive pro wands have 2.0 sensors so will work with bs 1.0 & 2.0.

No worries. Seems silly as bs 1.0 work with everything.
I ditched all my 1.0 equipment when I upgraded to bs 2.0

“Upgrade” yeah. Unless you have a barn I see no reason to upgrade from my trusty 2 Basestations 1.0

Today I figured out that 1 laser pointer from one of my LH 1.0 is not working - thats mean station is not tracking correctly

If the laser isn’t working its not tracking at all.
If you hold your phone camera up to it you will see it if it’s working.

I had a 2.0 one die on me. It was constantly flashing & couldn’t be detected.
I had to rma with valve. Thank God they have good customer service.
I had one within a week before I had to even send it back.

Seems like 2.0 is a maybe a quality downgrade.

Mine is detectable but I notice that one of my lighthouses bottom axis laser has shut off, and after todays firmware update even giving me the error code in steam.
