Htc Vive pro 1 with lense mod

it would be interesting to see though, but I have also VP1 with modded lenses, I have multiple modes including nintedo labo one, but gearvr is best of all (if not that issues with 3d & nausea for me personally) also I hated decreased FOV, but colours & blacks were even more vibrant.

in the video I posted above I shot on iphone 11

You can’t see any SDE here even on zoomed image, but IRL I see it very well - it’s 5k+ level, not awful, but those images look like those are better than G2 which is totally not true. Its mobile photoshop (built in)

also this ripple is the place where photoshop (mobile) filter wasn’t so succesfull, so it’s obvious that it hides SDE by a lot:

and actually here it looks like a similar to real SDE a bit less pronounced than in real but close:

It’s because the camera is so close to the lense. That effect ( don’t know how it’s called ) isn’t present in the hmd . I would throw up If that would be the case

note that on G2 it’s not the case image
anyway now I getting feeling that Im being trolled, so I just wanted to avoid confusions for ppl who will think the SDE is good as on G2, it’s not Index level, a bit worse & similar to 5k+

Ofcourse it’s not present on the G2 because it hasn’t sde visible for the eye  that’s why I said you can see sde on the vp1

Yes that’s what you see interms of sde ( mini photo that you are showing) . Ofcourse it has sde but my point was that you can read the text on bove hmds . ( On vp1 easier because you can get closer to the object and you can see the whole object as a whole very sharp.

What @Teigue is referring to is you need to take Raw image pictures vs using a mobile phone or even a regular camera. There are algorithms used in digital photography. Med to high end cameras and some mobile phones have an option to take Raw pictures.

It is not disbelieving what your trying to show. But merely pointing out that the image processing isn’t accurate due to the picture being enhanced by the camera software auto filters.

Yeah I get your point. I didn’t think about it at all because it looked in the hmd exactly like on my pics.
Will do some shots with a real camera soon then
