This is of interest to me as well, as I would prefer to upgrade to the Index controllers rather than trust that PiMax can produce a functional controller within a realistic timescale.
I believe the shipping of the basestation takes quite a while. How does pimax know which costumer are not plan to upgrade? I don´t believe they look for. Is it necessary for each backer to write a message to the service team to let them know if they want to upgrade or have their purchased items?
I am in the same boat here… Paid the 300 deposit… recieved the headset… but its totaly useless for me without controllers and stations. It has sat in a box for over 6 months already never used. Need to find out this week or I have to cancel/ask for refund for the deposit.
Black Friday is coming up and Steam items sometimes go on sale… Funny thing is shortly after i recieved my headset, they put it on Amazon for 100bux less then i paid for it. Currently feeling a little ripped off to be honest. Especially when the deal they offer is more expensive then the retail
