How many people are like me, the headphones only have sound on the right

很高兴前几天收到了5k。没注意到黑点，没有裂痕。但是耳机功能有问题，插上耳机之后只有右边有声音，除非你拨动耳机线，左边才可能出现声音，但是耳机线的位置移动之后耳机又只有右边有声音。
I am very happy to receive 5k a few days ago. Did not notice the black spots, no cracks. However, there is a problem with the function of the headphones. After plugging in the headphones, there is only sound on the right side. Unless you dial the headphone cable, the sound may appear on the left side, but after the position of the headphone cable moves, the headphone has only sound on the right side.

There are at least two other threads about audio issues.

You can try to give the audio socket a slight push if it’s not connected properly.

I had a bit of sound trouble. But in my case a light tap on the headphone plug did the trick.

Unfortunately my jack is also b0rken after pluging my headphones in for 3 times.
I noticed when I push the connector away from the hmd that I am getting stereo audio again.
If anyone else happens to be in this situation and is relucatant to send their hmd in for repairs, this ugly MacGyver style workaround might work for you.

Ouch sorry to hear. Seams like a small extension in the right spot to prevent this ftom happening.

It should be simple to fix and I wouldn’t be surprised if Pimax had already taken proper steps to reduce the problem.
At the moment I prefer ugly to having no device :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:
Edit: tried extension cable but no dice, tinfoil FTW

It’s easy to fix but can only be done by Pimax, everything else will void the warranty.
It should me much quicker for you once the USA office is setup.
There’s no downside to my workaround, the audio jack is already broken.

Edit: you are not in China

As long as it works on the right side. I’ve been deaf in my left ear my whole life. :slight_smile:
