According to the recent announcement…
“The single base station solution we shared in the previous update was an experiment. The two base station solution is the primary tracking solution.”
It now looks like I’ll need a second base station. I only pledged for 1. I’m sure there are others in the same situation.
Ideally, Pimax would email everyone who has only ordered 1 base station, with an option of adding another.

Yes, you can still use 1 same as the Vive. Just more limited on occlusion protection if using controllers (e.g. you block one’s view with the other one, a rare issue). You’ll probably find the headset itself can just about do 360 anyway unless you have a massive head

Previously it has been stated they will open the store up to let backers add items they may not have added during the kickstarter open phase. So I think we as backers will be able to add accessories we may have passed on initially. The question will be the pricing for the add-ons. Will backers still get deals or will we be faced with retail pricing, We shall see.
Slightly OT. For Kickstarter I pledged for an 8K unit and 1 base station. At the time of the survey it asked what kind of hand unit I wanted. There was no way to indicate I didn’t pledge for one and you had to answer in order to complete the survey. So I made a selection and placed a statement in the comment section about not pledging for one. Since then I have been wondering if I misunderstood the Kickstarter. I know certain things would be added as dollar levels were attained. Was the inclusion of a hand unit one of these?
i recommend you buy valve’s knuckles even if they come out a bit later dawg…
valve will probably be fucking around with them for another year. I can sell on ebay in a year for half price and it means i rented them for a 5 a month
This has been stated exhaustingly in the updates a long time ago - no, most of the stretchgoal will come later.
Just to clarify, I am only asking whether a hand unit was included as a stretch goal or not. I didn’t think it was but the way the survey was worded it has had me wondering. If so, fine, if not, fine.
