HMD only without base station

Without base station are we gonna have drift issues like 4k?
Or is it solved 100%? @bacon

This is a good question and nobody has answered it to date

Solved in the 4K so I can’t see why it would be an issue if they are the same gyroscopes.
My 4K used to really suffer from bad drift but since one of the updates about 3 months ago I’ve had pretty much drift free in iracing.

Without a base station, we optimized it and improved it better than 4k. We will continue to improve the drift isuue, DK2 also drifts without base station.
Thank you

tell me which drivers version and what nvidia drivers you use then?

A logn time ago i tried update, but steamvr didnt connect anymore with 4k pimax, so i went back.

So, from what you are saying the pimax 4k + motion rig is the perfect match (besides refresh rate)?.

I’ll get back to you tonight when I get home.
JB

Mine does not drift with latest beta pimax drivers and latest Nvidia drivers

Then i really gotta make work about this update then. Didnt knew it was fixed already. I guess i already gave up on the fix :D.

1.2.93 I think was the first version with a gyroscope manual calibration button.
1.2.97 they took it out for auto calibration but that didn’t work for me so I went back to 1.2.93.
There’s a specific was to calibrate the 4K. There’s infof on it somewhere in the forum or release notes.
I think all the latest 2.0.x releases have the manual calibration back in as well but I’m happy with the version I’m running and see no reason to change it unless there’s a marked improvement in the renderer which I don’t think has been changed, just the new piplay interface

Can you help this noob out pleasE?

I fail calibaration gyroscope? WHayam i doing wrong?

I put HMD on my head and look Up and down then i center and from center i look left and right then i center and i look up and down and repeat 10x and my neck hurts now
