I had exactly the same problem with my 8K+ and in the end I gave up and reinstalled Pitool 268 keeping the same firmware and the headset was working fine again.
@Siberdt- I had the same issue. Here’s what worked for me. Using task manager, turn off all Pimax processes.
Then go to C: users\your name\AppData\local\Pimax and delete pi_device. Then do a DFU install again. I can’t remember if any of the other files in your appdata\local\Pimax folder need to be deleted, but for sure get rid ot the pi_device text file.
Contact support too. If you open a ticket they can send you debug help.
Your HMD is NOT permanently bricked, don’t worry!
