HMD DP permanently 10600 error after firmware update in PiTool V1.0.1.270

My 8K was alive right until I installed PiTool V1.0.1.270 and firmware update succeed.

Now I have permanent Diagose Error 10600 with USB or both USB and DP Disconnected

No changes after switching port, rebootings, restarting servicers etc.

Every experience with this headset is a pure pain for me :frowning:

I had exactly the same problem with my 8K+ and in the end I gave up and reinstalled Pitool 268 keeping the same firmware and the headset was working fine again.

@Siberdt- I had the same issue. Here’s what worked for me. Using task manager, turn off all Pimax processes.
Then go to C: users\your name\AppData\local\Pimax and delete pi_device. Then do a DFU install again. I can’t remember if any of the other files in your appdata\local\Pimax folder need to be deleted, but for sure get rid ot the pi_device text file.
Contact support too. If you open a ticket they can send you debug help.
Your HMD is NOT permanently bricked, don’t worry!

Hello,

We suggest you to have the 268 Ver of Pitool and Firmware,so you could use the device while waiting for the solution.
Then please file a ticket at our support, and allow our technician to provide the assistance.

Sincerely.
