Help my 8KX (2076) stuck in the ground !!!

New day, new problem. :sweat_smile:

My 8kx is stuck in the ground. :expressionless:
And the valve controllers are lying around somewhere just not where they should be.

Solution attempt so far was:

Reinstall all software.
Channel again new with the small hole.
And when I set the ground level to 177, everything is correct again, only the controllers are turned around and to my right.

does anyone know the problem and can help me. 1000 thanks in advance

I’m pretty sure they just dont know how to translate chinese properly in the setup process, just use playspace mover in ovr advanced settings to move arround you playspace.

  1. Select 9-axis tracking mode on Pitool.
  2. Right click the Pitool icon at taskbar and select “Recenter”

My just over a year old 8kx won’t track the base stations anymore. After 4 days of dealing with support that takes forever to respond and is in China, they said it needed to be returned to fix the lighthouse board, but since it is out of warranty, I was out of luck and it can’t be fixed even if I had to pay. So I have a 2k paperweight, I’ll never buy another pimax again.

Does yor pimax turns in vr when you turn your head (with base station tracking)?
If yes, you need to uninstall pitool and steamvr, and to erase all leftovers from these 2 programs. Then restart pc 1-2 times, and then install again. The instructions are somewhere here in forum…

It is easier to install windows again, if you do not have anything important.

That happened to me, but was just software.

The solution is to rotate to different USB ports. For some reason the data is not arriving either fast enough or has too much latency. You just change usb ports then restart the service from inside pitool.

Agreed I have found pimax hmds I have seem to be picky on usb ports.
