Have you got micro stutters on win10 creators when gaming?

Hi all,

Thought I would mention if you have creators update in win10 (version 1703) then it may be because M. Soft added game dvr for game recording in that version. Has been identified on some machines causing Micro stutter while in games. They suggest turning it off while they work on a fix

To check you win version : click Start and type WINVER then press enter. Version will be shown

To disable GAME DVR : click start then settings (COG Icon) then go to GAME and in the left menu is GAME DVR move the sliders to the left to disable.

Should not need to restart

This feature isn’t a ‘creators update’ thing, i was there long time before this update :slight_smile:
But yes, if you have enabled it (and you have it by default) it can decrease performance of any game, depends on your pc so far.

game options were there but DVR options were not enabled by default… if you have previous versions of win10… i.e. 1607 for instance, you will not find DVR enabled, but on updating to Creators update Microsoft enabled this feature by default.
