I don’t want to come off rude or antything. Just someone who really like anyone who believes high fov high res vr is tangible with effort applied in a resourceful manner. I like any company that lets the vr community decide if high fov is going to be good fof vr (assuming all the current issues are ironed out).
We’re here, pimax. We like you because we don’t wish to initialize another tech scene with the slow drip tech spec milking machine.
Anyway the reason for my post: @deletedpimaxrep1 mentioned addressing us with some more details a week after CES. So I wanted to know where there were any changed plans or what is up?
I think most people would agree here that we really like to know ANYTHING we can from you guys. Maybe theres experts here and there who could even offer advice? Anyway, thanks and hope to hear from you.
Well, whatever Pimax are doing right now and regardless of what the update will contain, I do very much hope they are moving quickly.
Chinese New Year is in 3 1/2 weeks (February 16th), so from my experience starting from around February 9th until the end of February, it won’t be possible to do any meaningful work.
Assuming they still have to iron out the 90hz issue as well as all the new hurdles presented by v5 at CES as well as tooling etc, they now have around 6 weeks until the end of March by what time they announced they would have to pivot if R&D didn’t deliver on the original spec parts.
I’ll stick with my intial prediction that receiving a unit before Q3 2018 is very unrealistic.
IMHO, it’s going to take them months to get anything out to us anyway OP. With that in mind, waiting a little while longer for an update doesn’t do any harm.
That said, I’m looking forward to the progress update too…but then again, I’m a total nerd with no life to speak of! LOL!
