Interesting in that I use 445.75 without issue in dozens of game, not that this has anything to do with Alyx on the 8kx anyway.
I do find it curious that 445.75 is the latest official driver and a Google search does not come up with a 445.85
Perhaps you might ref your source but maybe in it’s own thread topic would be more informative and easier for people to find.
My best game is the upcoming “Sniper Elite VR” although I’m normally into
flight sims,I spend much more time on there previous games, it intrigues me the
dozen’s of different scenario’s you can play. And I’m sure the VR version will
be awesome.
PlayStation VR only ?
sorry my bad typo should have read 445.78
Add images
just discovered for some reason i seem to have the notebook version of the driver surely that shouldnt have been able to be loaded on my pc???
@Fomatter
Hi Phil,
Great that you received your package, hopefully I will get mine tomorrow.
The new Sniper Elite will be on PC ,and Console games ,the other
Sniper Elites up to 4 are fantastic you can take your time setting up
ambushes etc the beauty is that once you play through one ,level
play it at harder level, Whoa the A1 seem to learn to adapt to your
play. A real niche game especially if you prefer playing singularly.
Yes it a also a perfect example that it isn’t just throwing more powerful computer power that affords a great looking and performing game. I was struck by the fact that even with PP on my 6600K and 1080ti could run it maxed out and not drop any frames at 72 Hz.
It really is some solid coding by the HL team.
It mentions Oculus touch under motion controller support.
Well it sounds like it’s nothing more than just a fancy lick of paint, no enhancements for gameplay / multiplayer / VR support etc, but Crysis Remastered has been announced. I did enjoy the first one a lot though…
… no… VR support
Boo.
Anyway, having spent some time with HL Alyx, I will be publishing a video on my experience with it. Short version: I can see exactly how it is highly optimized for the Valve Index, but the 8kX still has its merits.
Look forward to seeing the video.
What do you refer to?
I was talking about a German, who in this thread complained about “dishonesty” of Pimax, suggested it must be some part of culture (or worse, so sinophobic stereotyping) and then went on telling us, how this would not be possible in Germany, because Germans were all so honest and would be afraid to lose face by lying (yeah, let’s forget about VW scandal or NSA collaboration).
Sorry, must have been a misunderstanding then, was assuming you were talking about MRTV.
Very funny. Sebastian is an obvious sinophile. ;D
That is my impresssion, too
For the IPD to go lower you have to change the IPD Offset to “-”. Then you will need go to the vertical Offset and close one eye at time while staring a something to find out if the image of both eyes are at the same level. for me, I had to make “-.05” on the left eye. But before you tweak the vertical offset you should try get the IPD sorted out, then fine tune it with the vertical. It will not be perfect because Pimax lenses aren’t great. There is blurring where the eyes meet.
Tried it all M8, That still dose not make the lenses change, its only the image on screen that changes. The problem that I Have, I am still looking though the wrong part of the lens.
