Luckily, nowadays Im quite immune to your low-blows.
I donât understand what is so hard for Sebastian to clarify whether or not he used the json file?
This would nip all of this back and forth in the bud.
edit: @SweViver What would make the .json unique to the 8KX? If it improves on distortion why not have everyone load it into the 5k+ , 8k, xr, 8k+ and so on?
Hardly. Just pointing out a simple fact that was well known due to leak.
Tunnel vision is a gift to some.
I think this would take away a bit of the fun, maybe?
Anyway, I look forward to the first batches of 8KX being delivered. It will be very interesting to hear all opinions from backers.
The json is specifically made for certain firmwares of 8KX only. There is a clear difference having it in use and not. This is why I have been waiting for Sebastians reply for a week now. I wanted to hear his thoughts on the difference.
Yes I was there. I donât find it at all surprising your view does not match. As you often seemed to forget details.
There was a lot of testing going on and some reported in other mediums in native tongue.
@Heliosurge , what exactly has this to do with the discussion at hand? Please do not answer.
Nevermind, I guess we will see many more âhelpfulâ forum posts here from youâŚ
You are just incredible man I rest my case here. Time is too valuable to argue in here.
Lets get back on topic.
Simple there will be a wide variety of impressions after release. Some with match A and some Will match B and some will be a C.
Thank you! You demonstrate this as well - full spectrum.
Diversity is what makes the human race. It is good that were not clones.
Diversity is what you get when you analyse hundreds and hundreds of testimonials from all kinds of people testing the same units. Diversity is not about differing from the vast majority. Maybe you got that slightly wrong?
Nope diversity is accepting all views and not just accepting the ones that match your view point.
I look forward to impressions from RoadToVR and other people that will give a broad look at things.
All impressions are valid even ones you disagree with.
Of course all impressions are valid and important. But that doesnt automatically mean one individual case can change or in any meaningful way affect or discredit the average impression of the vast majority.
This is why I rarely give people my impressions anymore. I trust the opinions of the majority, and I let them speak for themselves.
I donât know where you get that his or others impressions invalidate anyones impressions one way or the other.
All are valid and honest to the individual.
It is tiny bit concerning after watching the latest MRTV video regarding the 8KX. I did get to test the 8KX out in Orlando and I thought it was awesome. However, I was only able to play Skyrim, the Lab, and Beat Saber. The games all ran smoothly and I didnât notice any distortions (I donât notice them in my 5K+ either) However, the games I tested certainly werenât demanding titles like Half Life Alyx. I hope with a 2080ti and 9700k I can run the game smoothly on my 8KX when it finally arrives.
Also, regarding Sebastion and the json file, I really donât think even if he applies it that itâll change his perception of the 8KX. Itâll likely have to be whenever Pimax finally gets around to completing the headset and they send him one with the Deluxe MAS included.
We have almost the same setup. HL Alyx runs with stable 75fps on my system. Ultra (max) settings, PP enabled, rendered resolution above 3800pix horizontally per eye. GPU frame times between 9-11.5ms. Have not seen the dynamic resolution kick in at all lately. With a 2080Ti, you have nothing to worry about. CPU frametimes are very low, so the CPU could as well be a 6700K without any fps hit. The game is very well optimized.
Skyrim is more GPU demanding than HL Alyx btw, Even with default scenery.
Thatâs good to hear. I was more leaning towards trusting the fact that it would run fine on my system after testing it out in Orlando, but after his latest video I was left a little unsure. I really wish I could fast forward a couple months to play HL:A on it now.
Skyrim did run quite well on the 8KX. I was very impressed with how it looked vs my 5K+. I canât even imagine how awesome HL:A must look on the 8KX. Iâm dying to finally get this thing in my hands. Have you played through the game on it?
Half life is amazing in my index so canât imagine what itâs like in the 8KX in terms of clarity.
