I think you will have to need PP. From performance view it doesn’t seem to have much hit on performance.
Graphics is great, but as you look further you can see they used lower resolution or textures to make it FPS friendly.
My experience so far is really good and I have Vive controllers.

I too thought it would need PP on but I’ve played a few hours with it off and ‘seemed’ fine to me - would be interested to hear how others get on. I was also using Vive wands (waiting for Valve index controllers).
*Update, just saw the PP thread - seems while some people are OK with PP off, the majority see an improvement with it on. So I will try that next 
IGN said ‘masterpiece’ and gave it a ten out of ten.

I’ve played approx 1 hour without PP, sure there are a little clipping in the farthest right of the right screen, I guess i’ll try with PP on tomorrow.

Played it for an hour with my Pimax 8K, amazing experience, it’s incredible how good it looks and yet it performs so well.

Played around an hour + PP + pitool v258 on 72hz (8700K, 1080TI (430.86), 16G)
So far smooth experience but lets face it there are not many people going around (so far).
BTW, loved the latest PiTool UI. Much better.

The gadgets and machinery are brilliantly designed, complex, and a masterpiece to behold their workings. I am examining this world in detail and it’s glorious to experience in VR. Valve, you are heads above the best out there. Not even a contest.

Turn on PP, then reset your Pimax hmd and the clipping will be gone.

Well I have been playing it for a couple of hours and it’s definitely a great game with awesome graphics . I have been playing it on my oculus s and it runs great .
time for the mouth-breathers review.
