I have a totally weird situation here. When I turned off my machine my PiMax 4K was working perfectly! And I mean perfectly. I then started the system up this morning and now have a Green & Red LED on my unit. Tried all of the troubleshooting there is that I could find. But alas there is no fix! I plug and unplug the HDMI cable and there is no 2nd monitor shown in the Graphics options so it looks like there is something wrong there.
Can ANYONE help me here? I just cannot seem to get my PM4K up and running again. I am so sad, as I was having such a great time. I am open to any suggestions from anyone from the PM4K team or otherwise.
I also have that problem, my PM4K works great, but I lose 15’ minutes each time I want to use it after my PC was shut down.
I tried with PM4K connected to the the PC or not
I tried in extended mode and in Pimax Mode
I also tried to shut PM4K down before shutting my PC down.
No luck and no way to have it working at startup.
Sometimes unplugging USB and HDMI cables works, sometimes reinstalling NVIDIA drivers works and sometimes I even need to uninstall the NVIDIA drivers and restart to have a chance to use my PM4K which I’m very happy with except for this issue.
the light is red when the PC is shut down, green when it is started, but the PM4K screen remain shut down.
PiPlay tell me PM4K is in Pimax Mode, Steam VR sees it but Windows don’t, so it should be the case even the light is green.
If I try to change the mode to extended, PiPlay say the PM4K is disconnect the light stay green, but it can not connect to it anymore, at least that is what PiPlay tell me. Then I’m stuck.
I’ve a NVIDIA 1070 card with the latest drivers installed.
It is exactly the same situation that I experienced the day before yesterday.
I started from a situation where the ‘Searching device …’ was repeated on Windows 10 and I could not switch to Extend mode.
You’re probably in the second of the following ways.

I have experienced both of the above and have solved it by the above two methods and now I am using Pimax well.
If you are not able to use Extend mode, please try it once.
For clarification - Both a Red & Green LED is on at the same time. I do not know why. But will try all examples here on how to fix. I hope to be successful in one of them. If not, I do not know what to do. There is no physical damage from the outside. One night working fantastic as always, the next day Red & Green and no HDMI!!! Usually there is a 1920x1080 secondary extended desktop in the Control Panel.
PLEASE for my sake, don’t make me go through deletion and re-installation and whatever else is here if you know it is a defective issue. I don’t want to make matters worse, and or harder on me then it has to be. If you PM4K developers know it is a defective issue, PLEASE tell me up front.

I had this issue after installing oculus home.
I think deleting the monitors would have fixed it for me, but luckily I had a restore point from two days ago… so that is another solution if you have a restore point (mine wasn’t two lights on simultaneously though).

No luck at all. No working PM4K and its just collecting dust now. I have tried everything I could think of, but no luck. The device seems stuck in some mode and will not display anything even though the hardware shows up in the Device Manager
