Got the hand tracker thingy. /sigh

K so I follow every step… (install tutorial)
(Hit enter too soon)…

… So I follow the tutorial, and get it working in the test mode - but nothing in steam VR works.
Doesnt even know its there.

Hey im fine with [Beta Tech]
But its the [Straight up not working] part that im not happy about.

Someone tell me what might possibly conflict, or what i could do to resolve conflict short of wiping my disk… Which i would be semi fine doing as a last resort, as I have 10.

Did you try the programs mentioned in the tutorial guide?

I didn’t even know the hand tracking module was meant to be supported by SteamVR at this point.

Everything I have seen has shown it working in Pimax Experience and some small demos, but that’s it. That’s why I haven’t even unpacked mine yet.

There is an enhanced steamvr driver posted here somewhere.

The HT module as we know is a Leap Motion module now under UltraLeap. So any original Leap Functionality can work.

If one has Driver4vr it has things in it for Leap as well.

Here is the guide that mentions dcs and flyinside. Will see if can find the github

At this time, other than a few games, hand tracking is only useful in the Pimax Experience. It’s rather handy in there. However, there is no ‘native’ hand tracking support in SteamVR.
The ‘Module’ posted by Helio is a controller emulator and it doesn’t work very well. It’s worth playing around with, but don’t expect much.
While playing around with the emulator, one thing that became apparent was that we needed a way to turn it off. We use a command in Voice Attack to turn it off and back on: let me know if you want it.

The accuracy is much better when you install the Gemini beta V5 from UltraLeap.

Using the emulator? I upgraded to 5.0 but haven’t tried it with the emulator, yet, have you?

Indeed an earlier post long ago in p4k was using Leap with a hand held controller as gestures were not that great for simulating buttons and trackpad.

Like I believe the many vrgloves out there no direct support there yet.
