Fellas it’s been awhile since i’ve posted, Had to sell all my VR stuff and moved, so I just bought the 8KX and wanted some quick pointers like what Pitool are most of you using with this beast and what about firmware ver.? I’ve been trying to read much as I can through some posts, I am used to installing Pitools when I had the 8K plus and the Artisan, but I never did any Firmware updates and have heard some horror stories about the headset not working, so I want to know if I need to do a FW update for the 114hz to work and is it really needed? The headset is coming next fri so i’ll prob be on asking for some tweaks for sure… You guys have always been great and quick to respond, always appreciated it back with my 1st 2 headsets.

I would try the latest pitool 266

And install Pimax Experience 0.7

Thanks man, hey has anyone on here tried the extended cables by club that Sweviver used and said they worked back in January for the 8KX 3m cables?

Yes. It works for some and not others (some can only get the 2m version to work).
It seems to be down to signal strength varying from card to card and even port to port on the same card.
