That was me, glad you guys are finally checking it out. It helps the Pimax SMAS quite significantly. It’s free to try for a month right now so it’s worth trying if you’re unsure. There isn’t any latency, and there’s a Windows and phone app version available. It makes music sound great too, so it’s not just for Pimax users. I’m not the program author as some have asked, I’ve just been using it the past few years at work to enhance the sound of my music. I thought to try it on the SMAS a week ago and found it made a huge difference and decided to share it with you all here. Plus it’s 70% off right now.

As switching on Sonic for windows made the audio sound much better from the MAS but maybe too much for the speaker to handle. If Boom can do what sonic does in a more intelligent manner it will be worth ii.
Its much better then the Sonic for windows…with the 3d sound enabled and the bass boost with the right advanged eq settings its much better.

is there a way you can share your settings that you find best?
Nice I had it on Spatial.
I have since swapped over to the Vive DAS headphones (I couldn’t take not having my ears covered when playing games 
). My settings were somewhat similar to @john2910’s though. I selected 3D Surround. Be sure to click the Equalizer on and either choose a preset or make one (I believe it’s off by default), as it makes a decent difference. I played various music through Spotify into the SMAS and adjusted the sound in Boom 3D until it sounded the best. Once I had dialed the music sound in, going back into games was a noticeable difference.

Funny i just printed these makes a huge difference when you need the quality. I like not having to cover my hears all the time though it depends on what i’m playing and what time of day it is. VR Ears can’t come soon enough. OR DAS
EDIT to get an idea of what it sounds like just make a cup over the hear piece and it directs all of the sound into your ear.

LOL that was the first thing I did when I got the SMAS. Cupped my ears to see how much it improved the sound.
