I may be wrong here but I think I see it now. The 2 screenshots above actually shows that you are running PP off on the first, and PP on on the second.
Here, PP is off. This is noticeable, as the perspective of left+right eye is different:
Here, PP is on. The perspective is corrected for each eye.
Don’t take me wrong, I do hope you are correct and I do hope there is a way to start this sim with PP off and np culling, but comparing these two above kinda shows they are rendered with/without PP, which of course results in culling being on/off.
The black mask is just the result of having “Hidden Area Mask” enabled in PiTool. Its there to prevent unnecessary pixels to be rendered, which are outside of your visible view area anyway.
