With everything I have read and observed, I find myself in a position to consider why I should care at all that Pimax succeed in delivering a successful product and fulfill their Kickstarter promise and deliver their much anticipated 8k VR package. Sure I have invested a certain sum of money in the hope that they do deliver a reasonably good product, although I have lost more money in other, what I now consider stupid investments in the past so if I loose on this one, Oh well. Although I’m hopeful now and don’t believe I will. So for me although disappointing it would be I could still accept it as a lesson learned and move along. I have nothing more than my kickstarter investment at stake here, I have no ties to the company, i do not own stock, no one that I personally know of works for the company, so why should i care. Well, I think as what I consider myself as to be a VR enthusiast, observing and experiencing the progress of VR development through my HTC Vive and my Oculus Rift along with my library of VR titles over the course of the last two years I have an interest and fascination with this developing field and that is why i care and why many others I assume care as well. You see, I think we all want to see progress in this field and if someone can advance technology even a little, bring it about a little sooner it is a win for all of us. Palmer Luckey, John Carmack so many others in this field now Robin Weng, so many genius minds and other fields like Elon Musk forward us into a better future with their endeavors. Sure companies will compete and maybe do anything they can to win profits for themselves, but those individuals who break the stagnation barrier really do help advance us all and we all benefit. So please lets hope that Robin and his team succeed in advancing this tech just a little further and a little faster for all of us. Just a thought from a Nobody.
