Facial Expression system

I just found out about a company that makes a facial expression system.
Is there any chance Pimax contact them for partnership ?

Seems to be either fake or a ripoff of Facerig, as all the avatars are from that software

Edit: Seems like they are working with them

would it not be fairer to say they are using facerig to demo their hardware/camera software. i dont think they are offering to sell the avatars… just showing what the system can do when connected to an avatar capable of emoting.

The only difference I see compared to the FaceRig software is that it uses a camera for each eye, plus an overall camera. So if they even have some kind of own software it would probably just be mixing those 3 inputs into one and then forwarding that into FaceRig. Though all of this is speculation, but I’v seen enough “start ups” that is just scams using other companies tech and an idea to get investors.

Edit: Seems like they are working with them

This is what i want. I dont think hand tracking is very useful for most applications as most games are optimized for controllers, and probably for the better, its less believable to see yourself holding something in vr when in real life your hands are empty, even if your controller isnt exactly the right size and weight.

A front facing camera for facial expressions would have more uses for social vr and motion capture for developers. Social and multiplayer vr is going to be huge, i hope companies invest in it more.

I don’t think this is fake or ripoff.
At the end of the video you can see Holotech Studio logo. I think they are working on this together.

Ohh missed that, thanks for telling me. I’ll edit my responses

This would be a solution to combining facial tracking and VR in Star Citizen. Though by the time that comes out we’ll probably be on the next generation of VR.
I feel like very few games would use this technology atm?

Maybe, maybe not, but the research and development is pretty useful for whenever the tech does get adopted.

Adhawk def destroys any other eye tracking tech out there. I dont care about this companies eye tracking. But their face tracking is awesome.
