They will work on a 60Hz mode if that’s what you’re asking?

No, my question was if like on the pimax 4k it could be used as a second monitor without activating Steam through the extended mode

Interesting. What do you use that for? I use extended desktop mode at work every day, but can’t imagine how it’d be useful if I could only see one at a time (because you can’t see the desktop monitor if you’re wearing a headset)…

Kodi & SBS injectors used this mode for upconverting games to vr.

Vorpx can also apparently now use steam mode.

I would use it to play games not vr.My problem is that I own htc lives but starting bigscreen or vorpx and pes 2019 the game lag in multiplayer the cpu with the use of Steam splashes to 110% .I have an i56600k I do not know if it is his fault or the game is badly optimized, that’s why I needed it to be used as a monitor only until I change my pc

According to this, Pimax 8K/5K do not work in extended mode:

But it would be nice if we could play some older games in 3D using Tridef, Vorpx or some other method, now that we know that most new VR games will not work with anything less than a GTX1080ti.

So do we mean to say there is no way of viewing the desktop through the headset, not even through Steam extended mode? I dont believe this…

Vorpx Apparently has a steamvr mode now.

How does it work? in extended display mode?

Here’s a link. It doesn’t explain the mode but says it works for headsets that support steamvr
