In 2016, the Chinese government wrote the development of the VR industry into the strategic plan for the national high-tech development. China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology plans to build Nanchang into a capital of China’s VR and introduce VR-related enterprises, laboratories and tourism projects.
This is a huge development and a great opportunity for Pimax to get more investment for research and development. The 8K X running on commercial computers with Volta will be the ultimate theme park experience!
This along with the full scale replica of the Titanic makes me want to plan a trip to China sometime in the future! (Along with the cultural monuments as well)
I do not know if it’s the same park. If it is not, it will be more then one in China. And if it’s the same park, it’s due to open in February 2018(Or next month???). So in theory the headsets would already be ready. Mere speculation.
