Do the current pimax headsets lenses look like this?

My 5k+ headset has visible fresnel rings compared to the lenses depicted in Pimax’s current advertisements for the 8K, 5k+ and 5KXR, which have no visible fresnel rings.

Have Pimax changed their lenses recently and I missed something? If not the advertisement is quite a bit misleading as Pimax should not be depicting non fresnel lenses in their advertisements if the lenses in their advertised products are in fact fresnel lenses. The lense holder plate and nose bridge looks older and outdated compared to the current design.

The lenses depicted on their website are just 3d models. However, it’s listed on the website that it uses dual fresnel lenses.

Yeah, I mean you are clearly looking at a 3D render and the lens type is in the specifications. EG think of how your argument would apply if the advertising material was a cartoon? My headset isn’t flat and cel shaded…give me my money back…

I thought they might be rendered 3d models at first but i saw a shadow in front of the lenses that looked like a person taking a photo with a camera.

Still, the advertising graphic is misleading either way. Its like showing product a but in the description it specifies product b.

Isn’t it all misleading “8K” . We my be wrong calling it misleading when it is just “marketing”
