Do i need a base station only to look left or right with the Pimax 8k ?

Edit: It depends on the types of VR contents you like. Some VR contents with “Seated” or “Standing” (e.g. Project Cars 2) run without needing base station, some VR contents with "Room-scale (e.g. The Lab) need to run with base station and tracked motion controllers.

I only want to look to the left or the right with the P8k. I do not move or walk around.

No, you dont need any. You can look around (360 degrees) without base stations.
But you wont be able to lean closer to any object in the game or move around (it’s helpful sometimes but not really necessary if playing seated).

How is the gyro tracking on the 8K ?

Have you tried it? Is it good?

Any drift problems like the 4k?
