Been really digging through my rig recently to make sure I haven’t overlooked anything and have conclusively found that the routine momentary drops in performance many of us have noticed with the 4000 series cards is definitely being caused by Afterburner on my system, not FPSVR as some (including me) originally thought. FPSVR turns out to be causing me zero problems, but I must run Afterburner (if I want the OC to activate) and then remember to quit it before playing any title.

I thought quitting turns off the overclock?
Nope. At least not for me. Overclock definitely stays in place.
