Could the recently publicized PSVR patent indicate mass foveated rendering adoption is on the horizon?

There was a recent patent that got released to the public for what could be a new PSVR headset. It includes eye tracking. This is a pretty big deal for foveated rendering. If a new PSVR headset comes out and it supports eye tracked foveated
rendering, it could potentially kickstart mass foveated rendering adoption. PSVR makes up a large portion of users, and if the new headset gets eye tracking good enough for foveated rendering you can bet that developers will start implementing it.
