Can we plz get some colour/ brightness adjustment in pimax mode. Its very dull and dark.
But looks way better in extend mode as i can adjust it through nvidia control panel.
Pimax is working in it. See the thread below:
http://community.openmr.ai/t/status-of-brightness-control/751/9
In the mean time, look into ReShade or SweetFX, it really can help to get the dull color palette away.
@CMM Will those work with PIMAX in DIRECT mode?
Yea, I used it w/ Bigscreen Beta/Kodi as a test.
Check the thread out on the beta version and brightness control, increasing the brightness massively improves the colours.
If anyone wants to liven up their games/vids/movies, download/extract ReShade 1.1.0 with SweetFX 2.0 https://reshade.me/forum/general-discussion/294-reshade-repository-new-host (Located in the ReShade with SweetFX Folder).
Launch the ReShade Setup & select the main .exe from LiveViewRift/Kodi/MaxVR, etc. directory.
Now go to the install directory/SweetFX folder & backup/replace SweetFX_settings.txt with this one. SweetFX_settings
Launch one of the above Players & press the Scroll Lock key to toggle on/off.
Note:
Sometimes the installation location can defer from the above method. (Rec. to look up an game/app to verify support/install procedure).
Experiment with settings in the SweetFX_settings.txt (None of this is Gospel).
This will also work with the latest version of ReShade which includes an GUI within but it can be tedious to navigate/manipulate.
@CMM Have you tried the new beta which adds the brightness increase? I’m wondering if you fell the tools you mention are necessary anymore now that the brightness has been increased. Thank you.
Indeed, tried it immediately & this still helps to make it look even better. It’s not just the brightness that’s lackluster, the color fidelity can use a push too.
OK. Thank you! I will try it.
just upgraded piplay and firmware …looks much better. Also checking the box for 2k support everything looks way better without much of a performance hit.
