Can't seem to get it right with any version of Piplay

Tried the latest version of Piplay (1.2.53). Had to downgrade NVIDIA drivers to get it detect the headset and be able to switch modes… looks awful (low res).
Went to 1.1.92 but in Pimax mode the screen is in portrait. I cannot figure out how to get it to landscape.

I uninstalled/re-installed SteamVR.
As a sidenote if you have SteamVR installed on another disk (not C:) Piplay can’t find it.

Anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

Has been discussed and answered a lot here on the forum. Solution is: delete C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\config\steamvr.vrsettings

Thanks… I searched for portrait and did not see this.

I have steam vr on drive N and it finds it no problems, and it works 1.2.53 with NVidia latest drivers.

Headset gets detected once the pimax symbol appears in the icons part of the task bar. If it doesn’t, right click the icon, then mode detect, then pimax.

As for 1.1.92 I also got stuck in portrait, and that’s after I finaly got it working but was in portrait all the time so went back to 1.2.53. Was hoping 1.1.92 would get rid of the large black borders in the headset but was the same.

You change the orientation in the windows display settings. It treats the Pimax as a monitor.

As a monitor it was in Landscape mode. The problem was in direct mode. Deleting the config resolved it.

I’m glad it worked for you but it did not for me. Downgrading the drivers and Piplay resolved most issues.
