When they announced shipment I specifically asked xunshu how many M1 headsets they reserved for further testing. She said half of the units. That tells me only 4/5 units went out

I think its more like they made 20, because they confirmed at least 8 testers.

Since they said they would communicate the arrival of the prototypes, it seems that there are still many testers waiting without their units…

Man wtf is taking so long?? They shipped on express, so even if it was standard more than half the units should’ve arrived already…been 18 DAYS. 18(!!!)

It’s likely that the rest of the units are sitting in various customs offices around the world. International shipping can take awhile. The last time I ordered something from Europe, it took nearly 1 month. About 3 weeks of that was spent in customs.

Wow, that’s absurd! I always thought that things were horrible in my (carribean) island, but I never had to wait 3 weeks (!!) on customs, and I order almost every week something. Only time I had to wait more is when I used regular mail, but that’s really a no-go anyway.

Who knows… I run a small business and I ship all over the world. I have never had my items held more than 3 - 5 days. But I do not send electronics.

My bet is that they are lying, they try to win more time.
They really don’t need to lie at all , they will probably keep the NDA until they feel the 8K is ready for production and the things are fixed ,something to the effect that x,y,z issues were found and have now been addressed
Well you gotta agree that it’s weird that we haven’t heard anything. Pimax said that as soon as the testers received their HMD’s they’d be announced. Now we’re 3 weeks out and we only have 4 names, that’s weird.
