It doesn’t seem model specific no, I’ve seen it on gainward, zotac, msi, Asus and FE so far.
Mine were zotac then MSI.

Well at least you tried.
Does seem to point to something more like a system combination issue.
Although we have seen it on a collection of motherboard models and brands too.
Has anyone had it with AMD CPU? Or is it all Intel?
@Elin77 has an 5600x and this 40xx lag.
Ah ok thanks.
… and upgraded to a 5800X3D two days ago, and the problem persists.
Ouch. Not CPU related then.
Hi Pimax Community,
I spent many days for Hardware and OS troubleshooting, only to see that it’s a known issue (High GPU Frametime, stuttering, tearing and High Reprojection Ratio with Framedrops).
My System:
Vive Pro 2 (DP), older Pimax 8kx with Gen1 Scaler (DP) and Quest 2 (Virtual Desktop Streaming)
RTX 4090 GPU
5800X3D with MSI550 Mainboard
64bGb 3200 Mhz DDR4
Windows 11 with VR Optimization (HAGS off, uninstalled Afterbruner etc.)
Newest PITool and Nvidia Driver installed
I have no problems with my Quest 2 but my Vive Pro 2 has this Display Port issue too.
Everything worked perfect with my old RTX 3090, upgrading the GPU to 4090 was the only change that was made.
Im also on 5600x. I’ve yet to notice any pattern in terms of manufacturer combos, so far seen a little of everything.
Are your stutters showing in fps vr? For a lot of users they stutter without any actual performance issues.
Hi Chicken, sorry to hear you have this issue too.
If you haven’t already, can I urge you to log support tickets with both Pimax and Nvidia. The more people log then the better chance it will be fixed.
I have only in DCS v2.8 performance issues with very high Reprojection Ratio and Framedrops.
In other games when i “move” my head to “left and right” causes lag (micro stuttering) in the tracking of that movement. I opened a HTC ticket a few days ago.
My lindy repeater came early but made no difference.
Yeah sounds like my issue, maybe make a pimax ticket as well?
Please log to Nvidia as to me so far they won’t acknowledge the issue saying I am the only person experiencing it. For me I have tested everything and it happens just with the 4090. Putting the 3090 back in resolves it.
Other reports are that Nvidia are working on it but they won’t admit that to me.
I can’t use my two DisplayPort VR-Headsets (VivePro 2/8kx) with DCS since I bought the 4090. At least I still have my quest 2 that works with the 4090 without any problems (Virtual Desktop Streaming).
But clearly the 4090 has issues. Hence logging to Nvidia will really help.
It’s a shame to read that.
Then unfortunately I don’t know anymore. Maybe it’s the other chipset after all.
The same latency lag and micro stutter when i “move” my head to “left and right” is present at 120/90 Hz on the Vive Pro 2 and the 8kx with 90/75 Hz.
But DCS 2.8 is a special case that still needs some optimization. I still have the old stable, it runs much smoother as the Beta in the moment.
But it’s not game-breaking in the beta yet. With the last update it got better for me. (without Smartsmooth, average 60FPS, Marianen Deep Flight, 3800v, normal FOV, openXR runtime)
The micro stutter is present with all Games on the 8kx and VP2 connect with DP.
