Interesting, at least you have a greyscale test pattern to adjust it to. I agree with you with contrast and for me, even upping it to +2 lends it to crushing greyscale so I just leave it on 0.
Backlight I leave at Normal. Colours I find good just at default, don’t want over saturated colours.
