have you tried adding the game to steam and launching it in vr ? not saying it will work, but it might
have you seen this and gone through it. I know it talks about luckys tale but google the file name and you will find it.
hope it helps
Aerofly FS is very good. With GTX 1070 and set scaling to 2.0 it very sharp and clear. The feeling of flying an airliner or fighter plane is great.
I’ve been playing elite dangerous. Took a while to get things going, as well as a gfx card upgrade.
The first time i knew i was hooked was when I felt vertigo when i looked at the ground through a window in my cockpit.
I highly recommend playing Affected - it’s opened my eyes to how intense can be VR. Installation was simple - go to the Piplay store, click the link, wait for it to load, then click the button. Note - you can move around with WASD or the arrow keys, and you can look around with the mouse - though I recommend just using head tracking to look around, it’s more immersive. 10/10
I’ve also been playing Elite Dangerous - it took me a while to get SteamVR to detect the headset - I needed to completely uninstall SteamVR, then start up Piplay, then reinstall SteamVR, and now it works first time every time. There is something terribly satisfying about dog fighting in Elite, and being able to crane your neck around to watch your enemies as you pull your ship around to blast them - and a real wow factor to look down and see your VR body busily operating the controls in a spaceship. I believe that the Pimax 4K has the clearest visuals on the market for playing these sort of games - the HUD is sharp and clear, the 3D pops out well, head tracking is rock solid. Now, if I can just get my hands on some motion controllers, I think I might have the best VR rig money can buy…
That’s encouraging as I want to get one for DCS, War Thunder and Aero Fly FS2.
With a GTX 1070 do you find the FPS to be acceptable, especially when flying low over terrain?
what about gyro drift in elite? how did you fix that?
You can either bind a hmd center head button on joystick or use voice attack to bind the hmd center head with a voice command. I have both setup in case my kids are too loud in the room and voice attack does not pick up the command.
I usually have bad Giro drift. But using the key binding on my joystick regularly the drift improves after about 1/2 hour playing… It does not go completely but does improve
Eno
I had the joystick bound to reset but it still drove me crazy having to remember to do it. Theres a guy posting on here who has a fix by stuffing some paper under the sensor
Apologies I thought you were asking how to fix it in game. Not that you already knew how to do it.
All HMDs have some lateral drift. These may be ironed out as the drivers are updated but at this stage we have to find workarounds
