I’m glad to hear good news. We were really worried with this long year delayed and the new hmd. Thanks a lot Sweviver for the videos.
They mentioned reading text in Sweviver’s second impression video. But it was more or less, “I could read the text, it looks like, even at the edge of the screen.”
One guy said it was very sharp right to the edges and could read text. Hardly any distortion in ED worth worrying about. SDE on 8K is a bit better. Colour reproduction on 5K is a bit better. FOV is like real life. Blacks are yeah, good, ok.
Guys, I think you all backed a winning horse after all.

Can we get a which is better for asseto corsa, the 5k plus or the 8k. And maybe is the 8k better for stuff like big desktop or slower immersion games ? That’s what it sounds like from the initial impressions

Germans are not used to talk in English. Furthermore they didn’t go there to make a review for others. I am glad that they are even allowing them to film them. You act as if everyone on Earth were a YouTube entertainer making money with video views.
No they said some small distortion at the edges. Not a lot but there is some.

yea, I can see that side of it as well. It’s easy for me to judge reactions from a distance and always a different story when you’re actually there in person and yet I hope that SwiViver of Sebastien (after an hour or so of mingling with everyone and relaxing them) are able to get more in depth and meaningful feedback to answers we have all been waiting months for.The first few vids are short and patience is always imortant, I realise.
Oh come on already…you have to be at least hyped up that they managed getting even that without eye tracking…
You expecting too much without eye tracking to be as perfect as StarVR.

From the first several impressions I think you have nothing to worry about. Sharp to the edges and like real life FOV with a tiny bit of meh distortion. I have that with my glasses if I LOOK for the frame. Get your party hat on Allocen.

Sorry, it sounded like you had to chill out. You sounded pretty entitled and a bit aggressive.
IKR. I’m wearing glassess too. If i look really hard on the sides there is some SMALL distorsion so that will not be a problem with the 8K.
And a big frame in the way, but you tune all that out.
